She was a small town girl from India. She was born in Nashik district in the state of Maharashtra. She was the only child to her childless parents of 15 years. Her parents were not happy because they wanted a son. She was neglected, but her grandmother loved her.
Jui was two, when her parents went for 'Astavinayak darshan'. Its a pilgrimage most Hindus in Maharashtra go for. It's a pilgrimage where people take blessings from the Indian god of wisdom, 'Ganpati', the son of 'Shiva' and 'Parvati'. There are total eight place to visit, hence the name 'asta', meaning eight. They visited only three place and were on their way to the fourth, but their car met with an accident and both died on the spot.
Jui was raised by her grandmother then. Her grandmother never made her feel lonely. She loved her very much. She used to tell her stories from the epics, 'Ramayana', 'Mahabharata', etc., so that she would get engrossed with it and she wouldn't ask for her parents. When Jui started with her schools, she was asked by her fellow classmates about her parents. That day Jui came crying to grandma and asked about her parents. Lakshmi narrated her the story, how Jui's parents died in an accident. Jui cried the whole night, but she knew, she has to be strong and support grandma. Jui studied hard and was always in the top ranks.
It was a day when Jui's university results were out. She was very nervous. Her grandma gave her curd and sugar, and wished her good luck. "Result changlach lagel pori." ( The result would be good, child) Jui went to the university only to find that she topped her district. She was very happy. Local news channels crowded her to take her interview. She only said one thing, "Aaji, hey tujhya kashtache phal ahe." ( Grandma, I owe this result to you )
Jui got a call from a reputed company in Mumbai. She cracked the interview. She had to move to Mumbai. She always wanted to, because that is every Indian's dream destination.
After few months she was apraised. She was now the manager. Her grandma was very happy for her, but now she was worried for her marriage, as Jui had turned 30.
